Young cattle raisers age 5 to 10 years are welcome to join the group at Saturday’s Cow Camp at the Cattle Raisers Museum inside the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.

Cost: $35/child before Feb. 21 | $45/child before March 20 | $55/child the day of Cow Camp
TSCRA is hosting several contests for our cattle raisers youth! Contestants will compete by age groups (age as of April 2020) – 5 to 8 years, 9 to 13 years and 14 to 18 years – in three categories: Art, Photography or Essay. All visual entries will be displayed at the convention and attendees will be able to vote for People’s Choice for each medium.
The deadline to submit entries is March 13, 2020.
Subject of the art and photography submissions should be original pieces depicting cattle, horses or the ranching way of life, while the essay will be relevant to answering this years question: “What is your biggest inspiration in the ranching community?”
Awards: First, Second and Third place winners will be selected in each age group of each category. Winners will receive awards as follows:
1st Place: $250 and ribbon
2nd Place: $150 and ribbon
3rd Place: Ribbon and recognition
People’s Choice Award: Photographs, artwork and essays will be displayed for review by attendees during the Cattle Raisers Convention. Selection of the winning entry for the People’s Choice award shall be determined by popular vote, with the award given to the entry with the greatest number of votes received.
The People’s Choice winner for each contest will receive an additional $100 prize and ribbon. There will be only one People’s Choice winner for each contest selected from all ages combined.
