Texas’s energy future is being proposed with the largest-capacity
transmission lines ever built. Our regulatory framework was not designed to manage
projects of this scale with the needs of land stewards across the state. There is a better
way. This session will help ranchers and landowners understand how transmission
routes are actually determined, why the current process falls short, and what smarter
regulation — built with the people most affected, central to the process — would look like.
